Artist Song Sumin reinterprets images of nature, disasters, and fragments of everyday life collected from her surroundings through her own sensibility, creating entirely new narratives. By transforming familiar yet uncanny images into patterned compositions, her work stimulates the imagination. It recalls a cinematic scene in which mist slowly rises over a quiet lakeside at dawn, while the rest of the world remains asleep.

Through the artist’s recomposed landscapes—formed from fragments of images—perhaps you, too, can piece together faint memories and create stories of your own.
