How accurately do we perceive the world?

When you look at the paintings by artist Lee Kanghoon displayed here from a distance, they appear as large, refined, and modern geometric forms—circles, squares, and the like. But take a step closer and examine them carefully. Do they still look like simple shapes? Or do they begin to resemble a cluster of tiny pixels?

The sensory act of “seeing” is never entirely precise. It is deeply subjective and relative. What seemed to be a circle turns out to be an infinite accumulation of small squares.

Perhaps the world itself consists only of images formed by countless tiny pixels. Through the artist’s work, which investigates the nature of reality, we invite you to reflect on the meanings and gaps between concept and perception, existence and form.
